ANGELA D. SMITH

About Me

Angela D. Smith, a native of Broward County, is a graduate of Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University where she received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Economics. She has more than 20 years of working knowledge in the field of Civil Rights and Equal Opportunity as a Compliance Investigator for government entities such as the Florida Commission on Human Relations and Palm Beach County Office of Equal Opportunity, as well as non-profit organizations such as the Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County. Her passion for equality continues, affording her the opportunity to work with a great team at the Palm Beach County Office of Equal Business Opportunity (OEBO) as a Senior Small Business Development Specialist. At the OEBO, she is a subject matter expert in business information for Palm Beach County residents seeking to become business owners or looking to further their current business ownership opportunities by becoming a registered vendor and certified S/M/WBE with the Palm Beach County OEBO. She also contributes to the creation and update of internal policies and procedures and provides training to internal and external stakeholders.

Angela serves on a number of committees within Palm Beach County government, serves as one of the three judges in the Business category for the Palm Beach Post Pathfinder Awards, and is active in her church. She and her husband, Claude are the proud parents to three children: Matthew, Elysa, and Joshua, and two fur babies, Cocoa and Latte.
